1. What ALT Direct Is

ALT Direct is an information aggregation service. Publicly available job listings posted by Japanese Boards of Education and municipal entities are collected, key details are translated into English, and the results are displayed in one place. ALT Direct is not a recruiter, employment agency, or party to any employment relationship. All listings link to official external sources.

2. No Guarantee of Listings

The accuracy, completeness, and availability of any listing on this site are not guaranteed. Job postings may be outdated, removed, or changed by the hiring organisation at any time without notice. Always verify details directly with the official source before applying.

3. Accounts

Some features (such as saving jobs) require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. ALT Direct reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free and Paid Features

Core browsing features are currently provided free of charge. Paid features or subscription tiers may be introduced in the future. Where paid features are offered, pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be clearly stated at the point of purchase and will form part of these Terms when accepted. Reasonable notice of any pricing changes will be provided to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual Property

The ALT Direct name, logo, design, and original content on this site are the property of the operator. Job listing content sourced from third-party official pages remains the property of the respective organisations. No claim of ownership is made over data sourced from public BOE or municipal websites.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

ALT Direct is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The service is not warranted to be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the service is at your own risk.

8. Third-Party Links and Files

ALT Direct links to job postings, pages, and documents (including PDF and other files) hosted on external websites operated by Boards of Education, municipalities, and other third parties. These external sites and files are not operated, controlled, hosted, stored, modified, or scanned by ALT Direct. Following an external link, or opening, downloading, or relying on any such file, is done entirely at your own risk. ALT Direct is not responsible for the content, accuracy, legality, safety, or availability of any third-party site or file, including any viruses, malware, or harmful components it may contain. Any guidance displayed about where to find a posting on an official page (for example, the name of a link or file to click) is provided for convenience only, is not independently verified, and may become inaccurate if the third party changes its website.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ALT Direct and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed job opportunities, reliance on inaccurate listing information, employment disputes with third-party hiring organisations, or any loss or harm resulting from external websites or files accessed through links on this site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Japan, including the Consumer Contract Act.

10. Privacy

Your use of ALT Direct is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When they are, the effective date above will be revised. Continued use of ALT Direct after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
